Arrangements
Traditional options
At. St. Matthew's, many people still choose a "traditional" arrangement, whether for religious reasons or other considerations. A traditional arrangement refers to a full-body burial in a casket, rather than cremation. There are many options when it comes to traditional arrangements. For example, we make every accommodation for spouses and families to remain together – especially if you have made pre-arrangements. Most graves can also accommodate one urn; this allows spouses to be together, even if one prefers traditional interment and the other wants cremation.
Full-body remains may be placed above-ground, either in a building (such as our newly-opened Faith Mausoleum or Resurrection Chapel) that features burial vaults called crypts, or in a self-contained private outdoor family crypt or vault (family mausoleum). Or, the body may be placed in-ground, in a grave.
